We actually looked into this a while back when our company was redesigning the office. Ultimately, we decided to install office sound masking systems. What I learned is that it’s designed to increase speech privacy systems in noisy environments. It doesn’t eliminate sound, but it makes conversations less distracting. It actually helps with concentration, mainly because it reduces the intelligibility of speech. The key is getting a professionally designed system, and not just some random white noise generator. Hope this helps!
