I recently got a Spektrum remote-controlled plane for my birthday. It’s awesome, but I’ve already had a couple of near misses with trees and one very close call with my neighbor’s roof. Any must-know safety tips before I push my luck too far?

That sounds fun but tricky! RC planes are awesome, but trees and roofs can be brutal. Make sure you always fly in an open area and keep a safe distance from people and houses. Also, check the battery and controls before every flight — small mistakes can get expensive. I was reading some Slomin’s reviews recently and it reminded me how much proper prep saves you from major headaches.
