Hi, I know there are various brands of products that use aluminum chloride hexahydrate or a similar substance to block sweat glands and stop sweating (Anhydrol Forte, Odaban, etc.).
I used these products about 15 years ago and I know they can cause a very stinging rash, especially Anhydrol Forte. Odaban, however, seemed less aggressive to me.
Does anyone have a list of all the different brands and experience with how tight they are?
I also understand that some may use a different type of aluminum chloride, so I’m not sure if that matters?

All of these products work in roughly the same way, blocking sweat glands with aluminum chloride, but there are noticeable differences between brands. The main difference is often in the concentration of the active ingredient and the additional ingredients, which can either soothe or aggravate skin irritation.

Products with aluminum compounds may actually vary in their effects and effects of irritability. The main active ingredient is polyaluminum chloride or its various forms, which blocks the sweat glands. Differences between brands are often not only related to concentration, but also related to additional ingredients that can increase or reduce skin irritation. If the goal is to reduce discomfort, it’s important to pay attention to the concentration of the solution, the application method (preferably on dry skin, using a small amount), and the frequency of use.
