Owned a property with a septic system for about five years and haven’t had it pumped yet. Not sure if I’m overdue or still within a normal timeframe. Some say every two to three years, others say it depends on usage and tank size. What signs indicate it’s time to pump, and what happens if you wait too long? I’d rather avoid a costly failure.
