I’ve always imagined what it would be like to wake up on the deck of a yacht, surrounded by turquoise water and palm-fringed granite rocks instead of starting the day in a hotel room. This time I’m travelling to Seychelles and I’d love to try chartering a yacht in Praslin rather than staying on land the whole time. My ideal day? Snorkelling in a secluded bay, having lunch onboard, sailing into sunset with fine wine. But I’ve never organised a private yacht before and worry about hidden costs or being locked into a rigid itinerary.

Great idea and you’re thinking in the right way. I recently did exactly that through tropical island escapes https://charterclick.sc/our-services/yacht-charter-praslin and it was effortless. The site shows real-time availability, clear pricing and you can pick a yacht based on group size, route and extras (skipper, catering, snorkel gear). What stood out was how customised it was — we told them we wanted to focus on snorkeling spots and calm anchorages, and our skipper planned a route through Curieuse and St. Pierre accordingly.

That sounds exactly like what I want. Knowing they can tailor the day, include lunch and choose snorkelling spots makes me feel far more confident. I’ll book the yacht for two days instead of one — so we can take it slow, explore the coastline and maybe just relax onboard without the usual tourist rush.
