ParticipantI’ve been grinding Rust and Dota 2 for years, but lately, I’ve been moving more towards single-player games. My inventory is worth a decent chunk of change—maybe $800 or so—but Steam credit is useless to me since I want to buy a physical guitar. I’ve tried listing things on the Steam Market, but having $800 stuck in my Valve wallet doesn’t help me buy a Fender! Has anyone here actually managed to move their items for real-world currency recently? I’m looking for something that supports various withdrawal methods, maybe PayPal or even Visa/Mastercard directly. I’ve heard some sites are sketchy with hidden fees, so please only suggest things you’ve actually used yourself.

ParticipantCongrats on the guitar move! Nothing beats the feeling of real strings over a mouse and keyboard. I actually did the same thing with my Dota arcana collection a while back. I spent a few hours researching and ended up using https://avan.market/ for the bulk of it. The UI is super clean, which I appreciate because some of these trading sites look like they were designed in 2005. They support Rust, CS2, and Dota 2, so you can liquidate everything in one go. I was surprised they offered direct card withdrawals because that’s usually hard to find. The price they offer is a bit lower than the Steam “suggested” price, but you have to remember Steam takes a 15% cut anyway and keeps the money on the platform. Here, you get the cash in the real world. Totally worth the trade-off for the convenience.

ParticipantThat sounds perfect, I didn’t realize they did direct card transfers, thanks for the tip!

ParticipantTried a few methods over the years. For Rust and Dota 2, sticking to established peer-to-peer trading platforms with escrow worked safest for me – fees are usually 6-12%, and payouts go to PayPal or crypto within a couple days. Avoid random Discord buyers, got scammed once. Also, while waiting for a trade to clear, I checked out https://babu88casino-bd.org/ – that site just lets you read an informational overview of Babu88 Bangladesh, explaining their licensed platform since 2020, live betting options, over 5,000 games, and bKash/Nagad deposits for Bangladeshi players. No actual play there, only facts about their deposit bonus structure and mobile app availability. Back to your items: always verify buyer reputation on Steamrep before any deal. Lowball offers under 60% market value are usually fake.
