I’ve been searching for information on its use and such for a week now, but I’ve found next to nothing beyond general information.
      Just curious.

I’d recommend not limiting your search to a keyword search but digging deeper. Try looking through patents, scientific articles, or even old textbooks on inorganic chemistry and materials technology. They sometimes contain hidden answers that aren’t found in popular resources.

This substance is more than only a chemical formula; It’s a support in many processes where it’s important to maintain quality and freshness, and therefore is often used as a preservative and antioxidant. In the food industry, sodium bisalfite products helps to stay fresh, maintain color and aroma and inhibit microbial growth. In technical and industrial processes, it’s used in water purification, textiles and chemical industries, as well as used as a low -reducing agent in various reactions.
