Decided I want to go for the Splunk Core Certified Consultant certification, but I’m stuck at square one, not sure where to actually start studying. Official Splunk documentation is thorough but dense, and half the “study guide” articles I’ve found online are outdated or just rehash the exam objectives without going deeper.
I’m coming from a data analytics background, not a security-heavy one, so I’m also unsure how much the search processing language and deployment configuration side is going to trip me up versus what I already know.
Has anyone here actually gone through prep for this specific cert recently? What resources actually helped versus what was a waste of time?
While searching, I came across a breakdown of the Splunk Core Certified Consultant career prospects that covered where the cert typically leads career-wise and had practice questions available too, seemed like a decent starting point, but I wanted to check with people who’ve actually sat the exam before committing time to it.
