Strategies that allow you to make money from trading are not published for obvious reasons. I was wondering if this also applies to betting. Do you think people develop betting strategies to actually beat the bookmakers? Apart from simple strategies such as arbitrage between two bookmakers.

Betting strategies are often discussed on forums, but many forget that it all starts with sports. For example, in eSports, you can really understand and analyze matches, and not just look for loopholes in bookmakers. It’s convenient to look at the CS:GO game schedule at https://ggbet.co.uk/betting/sport/counter-strike/186/all/0/location/upcoming . Upcoming matches are collected there, tournaments are scheduled, and you can immediately understand who is playing and at what time. I use it more as a sports calendar so as not to miss top meetings.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand how people actually make consistent profit in betting, and the more I dig, the more it reminds me of trading: anyone who figures out a working method usually keeps it quiet. Most bookmakers build their odds with huge amounts of data, so beating them long-term takes more than “gut feeling.” You need discipline, bankroll control, and a clear understanding of how margins work. Even then, nothing is guaranteed. While reading up on different platforms, I came across a detailed review of the 1win App — there’s even a section with the 1win apk download link where you can read about features like deposit methods, live game options, and how the platform structures its odds. It made me realize that a big part of any strategy is simply knowing the platform you’re using, not expecting secret formulas to magically appear.
