I’ve been calling around for a good independent garage to handle my X3’s 80k km service because the dealership quoted something ridiculous, but every other place claims they have BMW trained techs and I’m starting to get confused about who’s legit. What I really want to know is whether going to a Certified BMW Service Abu Dhabi actually gives me any real benefit besides peace of mind, like warranty protection or genuine parts guarantee, or if it’s just a marketing thing that smaller shops use to charge more. Has anyone here had a bad experience with a place that said they were certified but clearly weren’t, or is it safer to just pay a bit extra and go to a well known specialist? I don’t want to save 500 dirhams now only to pay 2000 later for someone else’s mistake.
